Donald Glover "Hates Dominoes" in 'SNL' Promo
As he gears up for double duty.
As multi-talented entertainer Donald Glover prepares to take on double duty this weekend for Saturday Night Live, the hit comedy-sketch show has just released a new promo. The short clip features SNL‘s Beck Bennett preparing a domino-based surprise for Glover. However, castmate Chris Redd goes on to ruin it. Watch it above.
Glover is set to not only host the show but will be bringing out his alter ego Childish Gambino to perform as the night’s musical guest. Glover will be joining an elite club of double performers which includes the likes of Drake, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Ariana Grande. This will mark the first time Glover has appeared on the show in either capacity.
Glover has previously worked for NBC when he wrote for Tina Fey’s comedy 30 Rock and starred in Dan Harmon’s Community. Glover will also soon appear as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story and as Simba in a new live-action of Disney’s The Lion King. On the other-hand, Childish Gambino will embark on tour dates with Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples.
Glover’s Saturday Night Life hosting debut airs Saturday at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST on NBC.
