mastermind JAPAN Elevates Converse Addict's Jack Purcell
Upgrading the essential summer sneaker.
mastermind JAPAN is back from a month-long break between collaborations, linking up with Converse Japan for a collaborative Addict iteration of the classic Jack Purcell. The Japan-only Addict line sources premium textiles for the upper, and features quality detailing like a Vibram outsole and removable, cushioned insole, usually offered as versatile, solid-color models.
This Jack Purcell, however, is anything but subtle, with a bold mastermind skull-and-crossbones logo emblazoned on the tongue and illustrative “MASTERMIND” text above the Purcell’s signature “smile.” Executed in monotone black and white, the sneaker places the emphasis squarely on its unmissable branding. Expect the collaborative shoe to exclusively arrive at mastermind JAPAN’s Tokyo flagship store and other domestic outposts on May 19.
