Beach House Shares New Single, “Black Car”
Off of their upcoming studio album, ‘7.’
Baltimore dream pop band Beach House has returned with a brand new single titled “Black Car.” The track will appear on the band’s seventh studio album, 7, which will drop on May 11 via Sub Pop and Bella Union. The album follows 2017’s B-Sides and Rarities compilation and finds the group departing from longtime Chris Coady. Instead, it is a collaboration with Sonic Boom.
“We’ve always been fascinated by this dual energy field that exists between joy and sorrow,” Beach House’s Alex Scally told The FADER. “The idea of a simple, happy song is such bullshit to me.”
Stream the song above and stay tuned for 7, which is dropping next week.
