Sango Drastically Reworks Kanye West's "Lift Yourself"
No “Poopity-Scoop” in sight.
Emerging producer Sango just dropped his first full length, In the Comfort Of, earlier this year, and followed it up with the colorful “Khlorine” video soon after. The young musician most recently tackled arguably his most daunting task yet — a sincere remix of Kanye West‘s instantly-memed “Lift Yourself.” First released on April 27, the track is a meandering mishmash of production that culminates in West’s now-immortalized “Poopity-Scoop” bars. Sango’s remix drops the tongue-in-cheek vocals in favor of flattering the soul sample from Amnesty’s “Liberty,” complete with bouncy bass, tight snares and some aggro vocals.
