Feng Chen Wang Fall/Winter 2018 Continues Subverting Menswear
The London designer drew inspiration from the long journey home.
Emerging designer Feng Chen Wang follows up her Fall/Winter 2018 runway with a lookbook of the collection’s key pieces. Dubbed “The Way Home,” the range takes direct cues from Wang’s childhood — she even embroidered her childhood house number — 239 — onto select pieces. Throughout the range, Wang incorporated a color palette indicative of driving home, evoking the sun setting after a long day of travel and cozy clothes for lounging around the house. Keeping in line with the domestic motif, clothes are worn oversized, like hand-me-downs, and are inspired by youthful casualwear — tracksuits, hoodies and winter coats appear throughout.
