For her Fall/Winter 2018 collection London-based designer Feng Chen Wang has looked to her birthplace in Fujian, southern China for inspiration. The designer’s childhood home, number 239, is referenced in embroidery throughout the collection, while the capsule is influenced by her memories of home and her family and friends.

Other key themes in the collection include pre-worn denim and a rework of classic pieces, such as the ‘boyfriend shirt.’ Both of these are also linked to the idea of emotion and memory — pieces passed on from either an older sibling or a former lover. Elsewhere, colors such as gold and warm orange are used to reference the sun, while detailing is used to imitate the long and winding journey home. Also featured in this collection is a Jordan Brand collaboration, with Wang unveiled “The Way Home” Air Jordan 1.
