A Playboi Carti x Off-White™ Collaboration Release Could Be Happening
A teaser artwork emerges.

Playboi Carti is one of rap’s most fashion-conscious figures — often seen in the hottest designer clothing, rocking the most hyped sneakers and frequently featured in stylish editorials. As he’s already been wearing Off-White™ garments and cosigned by Virgil Abloh, it was only a matter of time rumors swirl regarding a collab between Carti and the famed clothing designer.
Recently, artist @_artdealer_ revealed an illustration that sees the famous Off-White™ cross logo and a caricature drawing of Carti himself. The piece also shows Carti wearing what looks to be the popular Off-White™ yellow industrial belt and Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 sneakers. A red graffiti-style writing of Carti’s name also appears on top of the logo alongside blue butterflies. There’s no official word yet if this collab is a definite go but Off-White™’s official IG account comments on the post with “!!!!!!!!!!!!™” Also, @_artdealer_ adds the suggestive comment to the post, “Soon**.”
Furthermore, if the character drawing looks familiar to some it’s probably because you’ve seen it in some other form before. American hardcore punk band Circle Jerks actually used a similar character called “Skank Kid” as their logo and T-shirt merch. It was artist and rock fan Shawn Kerri who did the original artwork for the Circle Jerks.
In other Off-White™ news, mark your calendars for the potential release of the Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “UNC” sneaker.
