NAISSANCE Subverts Workwear for Fall/Winter 2018
The Japanese label fights the cold weather with fur and fuzz.

NAISSANCE (pronounced like “renaissance”) is back with comfortable layers that take cues from workwear staples. Fisherman knits, work jackets, fur-lined hats and slouchy suits are juxtaposed with track gear and fuzzy accessories, updating the classic inspiration with contemporary styling.
Maintaining its focus on premium fabrics and classic cuts, NAISSANCE also continues mining retro inspiration for this release. Earthy colors complement the array of two-pocket workshirts, hefty knitwear and straight-cut trousers, with pops of naval blue and workman red accenting the range. The brand’s favored knit caps and fleece pants return, complementing the sportswear-influenced items; half-zip pullovers and shoulderbags appear, done up in tonal textiles and patterns. Playing off of the relaxed vibes offered by zippered track jackets and pants, a print reading “aspects of realism” is executed on jeans and T-shirts.
Look for the collection to hit NAISSANCE’s web store and stockists later this year.
