Juelz Santana Turns Himself in to Police After NJ Airport Incident
A .38-caliber handgun was discovered in the rapper’s carry-on bag last week.
Juelz Santana turned himself into Port Authority Police earlier this morning at 1 a.m., reports TMZ. He’s scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Newark later today. Santana is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Police were searching for Santana since last Friday after a loaded .38-caliber handgun was found in his carry-on bag by Transportation Security Administration officials when it was going through X-ray at a Newark Liberty International Airport security checkpoint. It was reported that the 36-year-old star fled the scene, leaving his belongings behind.
