Nike‘s latest take on the Air Max 90 boasts a Black/Volt colorway that may look familiar to KAWS fans; The shoe looks strikingly similar to the artist’s classic Air Max collaboration.

Embracing a similarly muted color scheme to the collaborative sneaker, this Air Max 90 offers a black upper and midsole. Volt accents further recall the collaborative sneaker, but that’s about the extent of the similarities — this shoe offers the standard 90 outsole instead of the Free model seen on the KAWS model, along with black laces, muted paneling and contrasting “AIR MAX” branding. KAWS’ “X” detailing is also absent, of course.

For those looking for a budget-friendly alternative to the jointly-reworked shoe, expect the Black/Volt Air Max 90 to hit NSW stockists in April. Elsewhere, Nike teased a streamlined take on the Air Jordan 1 with its “Decon” pack.
