Disney Gives a Look Around Its Upcoming 'Star Wars' Theme Park
Set to open next year.
It’s been a couple of years since Disney announced plans for a Star Wars theme park, and the entertainment empire has now given a look at the site. The 14-acre site — an add-on to the Disneyland in Anaheim, California — is set to replicate Batuu, a planet in the outer rim of the Star Wars universe, and will open its doors at some point in 2019.
The flyover video shows the site under construction, with some of the mountainous landscape already built. In sketches at the end, the video also reveals that there will be a serious of buildings and an appearance from the Millennium Falcon. The theme park will house attractions that will relate to all movies in the Star Wars series, and will be the largest themed expansion in Disney’s history. Take a look around the location while you wait for Batuu to open next year.
