Dr. Dre and Bootsy Collins Are Potentially Working on New Music
The two have been in the studio.
Dr. Dre is usually quiet when it comes to talking about new music, but Bootsy Collins has revealed that the two of them have been in the studio. In an interview with Billboard, Collins didn’t give much away but did say “[I'm] producing and playing [on his solo record]. And you know… yeah. That’s the bottom line without giving everything away.”
It was the second time the funk legend has referred to a possible collab, saying last month on Facebook underneath a picture of the two “Dr. Dre, got some funky thangs comin’ yr way soon. I am glad to have the opportunity to be a part of this adventure! Funks gettin’ Stronger…” There’s no word on when or if Detox will ever be released, but these updates are somewhat promising.
Dr. Dre was last seen in the trailer for the Netflix documentary The Defiant Ones.
