China produces a huge amount of the world’s material goods, which naturally leads to a proliferation of fake items and even fake stores — a fake YEEZY store appeared in Wenzhou just last year. The latest fake Chinese store to materialize is a remake of one of the most famous boutiques in the world: Paris’s colette.

Fans from around the world gathered at colette to mourn its closing in December, with brands from Advisory Board Crystals to Saint Laurent offering up tributes in the form of last-minute collaborations and exclusive drops. According to the owner of the Shanghai-based “colette Forever,” the fake store is just another tribute to Sarah Andelman‘s iconic shop. Zhao Shuo admits that he hasn’t yet turned a profit from the tiny store, but claims that the original colette influenced him to launch his own boutique, which now sells fake items from the likes of Gucci, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton.

Check out the original Chinese interview and video with Zhao Shuo over on Sohu’s website and take a look inside the store below. Elsewhere, a YouTuber recently filmed himself as he went shopping for fake sneakers inside the fake Chinese YEEZY store.
