visvim Examines Its Social Sculpture Denim in Latest Dissertation
Looking at the fabric and the process behind it.

After spotlighting its Albumen Coated Hemp Cloth back in January, visvim has turned the focus onto the Social Sculpture denim from its Spring/Summer 2018 collection for its latest dissertation. The dissertation looks at how the fabric is woven — using an old-fashioned power loom — as well as the yarn itself, which is rope-dyed and made from fibers of various lengths. This method gives the denim an uneven and unique appearance.
Elsewhere, the dissertation focuses on the brand’s different denim styles and silhouettes including the ‘Red Edge’ series which is a deep colored and extra uneven material. Head over to the visvim site to learn more about the material and the fabric, and refresh your memory of the brand’s full Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
