Sneakerbox TLV Joins Le Coq Sportif for Hummus-Inspired R800
The Israeli store cooks up a tasty sneaker.

French label Le Coq Sportif commemorates the 7th anniversary of Sneakerbox Tel Aviv with a collaborative take on the athletic brand’s R800 sneaker, granting it a hummus-inspired makeover befitting of the Middle Eastern store’s heritage.
One of Tel Aviv’s most celebrated culinary creations, hummus informs each aspect of the earth-toned sneaker. Green and burgundy suede detailing evokes parsley and paprika, respectively, while hummus influenced the nubuck and beige linen accents. A trio of complementary laces — green, orange-toned and burgundy — allow for extra hits of tonal color, with the hues also appearing on the insole. The tongue sees both brand’s logos blending together as symbol of unity, although the branding is separated on the heel.
Look for the R800 “Hummus” to release at stockists like Hanon’s web store on February 17.
On the other end of the collaborative spectrum, Feng Chen Wang reworked the Air Jordan 1 for her New York Fashion Week show.
