Listen to Trippie Redd's Freestyle Over Jay-Z's "Family Feud"
Channeling his inner Lil Wayne.
Trippie Redd channels his inner Lil Wayne on this new freestyle that finds the emerging rapper showcasing some bars that’ll make critics think twice before ever categorizing him again as a “mumble rapper.” During a recent UK visit, the Canton, Ohio-bred spitter stopped by Tim Westwood’s studio to chop things up and, of course, lay down some bars. Fans have grown accustomed to hearing him over trap-laced beats, so it was quite a change to hear his raw vocals over JAY-Z‘s 444 cut, “Family Feud.”
Meanwhile, this very well might be Trippie’s first time rapping without auto-tune and, from the looks of it, he didn’t need any for the melodics. Also, towards the end of the video, Redd also unveils that his biggest music idols are Kanye West, Drake and Lil Wayne.
