New Raf Simons Campaign Casts a Neon Glow on Spring/Summer 2018 Concepts
Showcasing the label’s Joy Division & New Order graphics.
After a string of recent releases — including collaborations with adidas, Eastpak and The Webster New York — Raf Simons has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 campaign imagery. The images, shot by long-time collaborator Willy Vanderperre, reference the Chinatown location of the label’s New York Fashion Week show from last year.
The campaign imagery also highlights the influence of Manchester bands Joy Division and New Order, with Peter Saville-designed artwork appearing throughout. This includes the cover art for Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures album, which appears on a T-shirt in the background, as well as New Order lanterns and an umbrella featuring the art for Joy Division’s single compilation titled Substance. Take a look through the Spring/Summer 2018 campaign above, with the collection having been released for pre-order last month.
