AMI first linked up with Smiley in 2015, blending the iconic emoticon with the designer’s signature red beanie across a range of wardrobe essentials. For Spring/Summer 2018, the collaboration returns, encompassing an array of modern staples.
The beanie-wearing smiley face reappears on the chest of each item in the collaboration, which utilizes neutral tones to emphasize the friendly graphic. Tees, shirts and layering pieces all bear the imagery, executed in AMI’s recognizably trim, yet relaxed, cuts for both men and women. A black cardigan, sweater and cap offer contrast to the white and grey items, all devoid of detailing aside from the smiley face.
Expect the range to launch on February 26 at AMI’s website, stockists and boutiques. The label recently held a runway exhibition in Paris, showcasing its Fall/Winter 2018 range of elevated basics and understated layers.
