Netflix Reveals Adam Sandler’s New Film 'The Week Of' Co-Starring Chris Rock
As part of the second four-film deal between Sandler and the streaming service.
The next project between Adam Sandler and Netflix has arrived, as the streaming platform has just released the first trailer for The Week Of, co-starring Chris Rock. The film marks the directorial debut of writer Robert Smigel (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan,) best known as the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.
The movie was co-written between him and Sandler and tells the tale of two fathers who don’t get along celebrating the marriage of their children — with Sandler and Rock playing the two dads. The film also stars Steve Buscemi, another consistent collaborator of Sandler. This film is part of the second four-film deal between Sandler and Netflix, as the first produced films like The Ridiculous Six, which seemed to do well for the streaming service. In other Netflix news, the streaming service just dropped the latest trailer for its upcoming sci-fi film Mute starring Paul Rudd.
