Daily Paper Spotlights Amsterdam's Youth for Spring/Summer 2018 "Unite" Video
The visual embodiment of the brand’s driving force.
Earlier this month, Daily Paper explored the ideas of travel and surpassing expectations for a “Transcend Borders” lookbook, unveiling a Spring/Summer 2018 collection influenced by various African cultural movements. Further highlight the drop, Daily Paper swiftly resurfaces with a promotional vignette to support the seasonal delivery.
Directly following Daily Paper’s Fall/Winter 2018 showcase at Paris Fashion Week, the nascent brand links up with movie director Sharif Abdel Mawla to put together a short film to bring the Spring/Summer 2018 range to life. Dubbed “Unite,” the piece highlights the vibrancy of Amsterdam youth culture, capturing its denizens in their most comfortable, animated settings. As Daily Paper puts it, this visual is the embodiment of the “mindset” that drives the company’s pieces.
“Daily Paper’s focus is to cultivate their relationships and expand their community, encouraging international youth to express and accept their individualism and educate them to protect themselves,” reads an official statement from Daily Paper. “Daily Paper’s motivation is not a “theme” but a quest to explore their identity and their place in this world on a greater scale. By championing their culture and creating a community of belonging rather than exclusion, the youth will always be heard.”
