Once upon a time, long before the hype pervaded popular culture, the major sneaker brands would typically deliver one, maybe two coveted releases a month, with a heavy emphasis on storytelling. Nowadays, it’s commonplace to see these different labels ditch the ‘who, what, where, when and how,’ and instead drop multiple pairs of heat in just one weekend. A welcomed dilemma for most.

With that said, we continue our weekly roundup of the most sought after silhouettes for the week, hoping to make your ‘cop or drop’ decision as easy as possible. Check out the list below and chime in on the styles you’ll be picking up.

Air Jordan 3 “Free Throw Line”

Nike

Release Date: February 14
Release Price: $200 USD, available via select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike SNKRS

Jordan Brand goes back to ‘88 to revisit Michael Jordan‘s iconic Slam Dunk Contest win. The classic Air Jordan 3 returns boasting its familiar “White Cement” aesthetic, while resting atop a new translucent outsole. Within the aforementioned outsole you’ll find a red stripe marking the location on the foot where MJ jumped from the foul line during the contest. The model’s traditional detailing returns in the form of its elephant print on the heel and toe, in addition to a Jumpman logo on the tongue and Nike‘s Air stamp on the heel.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Swoosh Pack”

Shortly after its emergence at the tail-end of January, Nike‘s DIY fixation continues with its Air Force 1 “Swoosh” pack. Here, the Air Force 1 Low features a selection of removable Swoosh options with base choices of white, black or sail. The various-colored Swooshes can be easily applied or discarded with the use of Velcro.

Bristol Studio’s Luke Tadashi uses his first love of basketball as the influential spark, while each edition rests atop a traditional gum outsole.

OVO x Air Jordan 8

Release Price: $225 USD, available via select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike SNKRS

October’s Very Own is back with another Jordan Brand collaboration. Following the Air Jordan 10 and Air Jordan 12 releases, Michael Jordan‘s eighth signature sneaker now receives the Drake treatment, with two colorway choices of black or white with gold detailing and OVO branding.

Asymmetrical side paneling is also present, with black on the medial side and white on the lateral for the final touch to this highly-coveted iteration.

adidas Harden Vol. 2

The inaugural editions will include the “California Dreamin’,” “Ignite” and “Vision” colorways, all paying homage to The Beard’s love for his hometown of LA, his offensive contribution on court and the influence of Audubon Middle School.
