In the latest episode of WIRED‘s new video series [De]Constructed, a professional watchmaker compares what’s inside of a Swiss and a Japanese made watch.

The detailed video sees Ryan Jewell break down two Carpenter watches — one with Swiss movement and the other with Japanese movement — to reveal the construction of these timepieces. The under 30-minute video offers side-by-side views of the various components while Jewell provides insider information via voiceover.
