Drake Is Now the Most-Streamed Artist in Spotify History
The ‘Scorpion’ superstar is running the game.

For Drake, the accolades and success continue to roll in. As his “Sicko Mode” collaboration with Travis Scott sits firmly at the the top spot on the Billboard 100, the Grammy Award winner has yet another impressive honor to add to his ever-growing list of accomplishments: the most-streamed artist in the history of Spotify.
Spotify’s year-end rankings also note that Drake is the most-streamed recording artist in the world for 2018, while Scorpion is this year’s moat-streamed studio album and “God’s Plan” is 2018’s most-steamed track. In these past 12 months alone, Drake’s music has generated 8.2 billion new streams. Drake’s closest individual competitor appears is the second most-streamed artist of 2018, Post Malone. The 23-year-old’s Beerbongs & Bentleys project stands as the second most-streamed album in the U.S. for 2018, and his debut LP Stoney manages to secure the No. 5 spot in that same category; “Rockstar” is also the third most-streamed song of 2018, while “Psycho” comes in at No. 4.
