Noname's First Music Video Is an Ode to "Blaxploitation"
With powerful imagery on display.
Emerging artist Noname has released her newest project, Room 25, and its breakthrough track “Blaxploitation” has just received visuals. The young Chicago artist’s first music video is directed by Alex Lill. The footage features an African-American toddler crawling through the miniature streets of Chi-Town in the middle of the night Instead of being scared, however, the city becomes the baby’s playground. The vid of the black child is then interwoven with clips of white people watching the news in horror.
