The goal of most smartphones is to achieve an all-screen design, and Nubia has done away with its front-facing camera in favor of a back display that forces users to utilize their back cameras for selfies instead. The Nubia X Android handheld is a dual screen phone with one display in the front and another on the back, which can be used as the main screen via prediction software or manually.

Each display is 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD, and 5.1-inch 1,520 x 720 OLED, respectively. The back screen ensures eyesight protection by employing a software-based three-level blue light filter. Its two back cameras (16MP f/1.8 and 24MP f/1.7) utilize a portrait mode that ensures pristine “beautification” filters from its AI, which can analyze ethnicity, facial features, age, skin tone and more.

The phone features fingerprint readers on each side of the bezel, which also functions as home and back buttons that can be mapped for gaming. The Nubia X features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and dual Nano SIM slots. Although the units lack US-friendly models, the Nubia X starts at 3,299 yuan ($470 USD) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB model, and 4,299 yuan ($620 USD) for the 8GB RAM 256GB storage that comes with a physical blue light glass filter.
