Disney Releases the First Teaser Trailer of 'The Lion King' Remake
Featuring Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Hans Zimmer, Elton John and more.
Disney has treated the world to the official teaser trailer of its The Lion King remake — a photorealistic animated version of the 1994 classic, featuring a star-studded cast including Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, James Earl Jones returning as Mufasa, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and many more.
The one and a half minute-long visual was released during the NFL Thanksgiving primetime game and shows the opening of the movie. We see beautiful remakes of iconic scenes such as young Simba being raised up over the rocks to the animals, paired with James Earl Jones’s narration as Mufasa and the “Circle of Life” playing in the background. Elton John is returning to rework some of his originals compositions for the film, as is Hans Zimmer to score the film.
Disney’s The Lion King is scheduled to release on July 19, 2019. Watch the official teaser trailer above and share your thoughts in the comments.
