Prada's Mechano Sneaker Takes Center Stage for Its FW18 RTW Campaign
The chunky silhouette makes its debut.
Following the release of Prada‘s Fall/Winter 2018 collection last month, we get a closer look at the line in the brand’s latest editorial. Focused on its chunky industrial footwear silhouette, the Mechano, the photoshoot showcases the sneaker alongside Prada’s signature cold-weather nylon staples, including bags, hats and outerwear.
Looking to the utilitarian Mechano as a muse, the Prada lookbook is set inside of a warehouse with functional, industrial accents like plastic barrels, cables and scaffolding — each of which play up the inspiration behind the newly-minted silhouette. Available in three color accents–blue, green and orange–which are paired with an upper constructed from materials including leather, suede and technical nylon, the tough-looking Mechano is a fashion-forward take on workwear. Prada logos on the tongue, midsole, heel and velcro strap, complete the offering.
