Y/Project Brings Back UGG Boots for Fall/Winter 2018
The return of an early 2000s footwear favorite.
Creative Director Glenn Martens’s Y/Project imprint continues to subvert sartorial norms with its Fall/Winter 2018 collection, recently debuted at Paris Fashion Week Men’s.
Though more understated than previous seasons (in Y/Project standards, that is), the label continued its penchant for warped tailoring and lush fabrics, churning out a smattering of multi-layered bleached denim, wide-legged leather trousers, double-lined apres-ski sweaters and droopy nylon jackets. Keeping with its wilderness vibe, the show debuted a head-scratching collaboration with UGG, resulting in a mutated, thigh-high iteration of the beloved early 2000s footwear.
