Slam Jam Announces Collaborative Milan Fashion Week Showcase
Linking up with 424 and Alpha Industries, taking place at Spazio Maiocchi.
Having ended 2017 in style with the drop of its Cali Thornhill-DeWitt-designed Converse collaboration, legendary Italian company Slam Jam has now announced the details of its Milan Fashion Week plans. Taking place as part of the SHOWCASE event at Spazio Maiocchi – a new art space dedicated to the intersections of art and design — the brand (co-founded by Carhartt WIP and Slam Jam) will present a three-way collaboration with L.A.-based 424 and streetwear staple Alpha Industries.
Showing alongside other collaborations such as Oakley by Samuel Ross and 2117 by CARHARTT WIP & LAW, the SHOWCASE event will take the form of a projected video artwork created by 424’s Guillermo Andrade and based upon the Alpha Industries collab’s Vietnam War-inspired themes and graphics.
The Milan Fashion Week Spazio Maiocchi SHOWCASE event will take place on 15 January, with the invite only preview being held from 7-9pm and general admission from 9-11.30pm. Elsewhere, in other Fashion Week news, Berlin-based magazine-turned-brand 032c will present its first full collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo 93.
