Nike Reveals Team USA's Medal Stand Collection for the Winter Olympics

This year’s Winter Olympics will take place in Pyeongchang where temperatures will undoubtedly hit the freezing mark. As a result, Nike has developed Team USA’s Medal Stand Collection to assist athletes in going head-to-head against the frigid weather during the traditional medal ceremonies. Within the range, Nike welcomes a Summit Jacket System, Team USA Pant, NSW Gaiter Boot and Medal Stand Gloves. Its Summit Jacket System incorporates a Team USA Hypershield Summit Jacket with GORE-TEX® waterproof shell that houses a Team USA Insulated removable bomber jacket. As a bonus, engineered knit hand warmers are attached to the jacket’s sleeve for enhanced warmth. The Team USA pant is comprised of material from a DWR coat repels rain and snow. Additional details include USA branding that’s visible once its ankle zip is open.
The range’s NSW Gaiter Boot shares a lace-free lockdown and allows the wearer to customize their fit thanks to its ankle zipper and midfoot strap. The silhouette’s men’s iteration adds a FlyEase-inspired entry while the women’s edition takes on a higher cut with added heat reflective material. Closing out the pieces are the Medal Stand Gloves as it includes a waterproof layer and needed ventilation areas thanks to Nike’s AeroShield technology. A hidden zipper also allows for easier entry and removable when needed.
