Martine Rose & MYKITA Tease Sunglasses Collaboration
Inspired by ’90s club culture.
Having released the lookbook for her archive-inspired collection earlier this month, London-based designer Martine Rose has now teased a collaboration with MYKITA. The joint project sees the KITT frame reworked into a range of bright colors, including “Antique Red,” “New Lime, and “Royal Blue,” as well as an understated black option.
The collaboration is inspired by ’90s club culture, with the wraparound sunglass shape of that era given a straight top line and a super-flat profile. The capsule is set to come with packaging that riffs on discount stores, while the lenses feature a subtle inscription that continue this theme as well as branding from the two labels.
The Martine Rose x MYKITA collection is set to launch in April 2018, so keep an eye out for more images and more details before it finally drops. As well as this capsule, Martine Rose also has another installment of her ongoing collaboration with Napapijri.
