Warner Bros. Is Believed to Be Targeting Leonardo DiCaprio to Star as Joker in Upcoming Film

Last week, news of an upcoming Martin Scorsese-produced Joker Origins film circulated around the web with many questioning its validity and who may or may not end up starring in the project. And now, the plot thickens with rumblings of Warner Bros. rumored intent at landing Leonardo DiCaprio to play the prolific villain.
Although nothing has been confirmed, the studio hopes to reunite Scorsese and DiCaprio, who have gone on to collaborate on several big screen motion pictures — forming one of Hollywood’s most dynamic working relationships. With a public distaste for franchised-type roles, WB is hoping a finalized deal for Scorsese could sway his good friend’s decision to play Batman’s arch rival.
