After unveiling its 2017 fall/winter collection with a new campaign earlier this summer, Fendi has now revealed that pieces from the collection will be stocked at a pop-up space in the New York branch of Dover Street Market. The Fendi pop-up has been touring the world over the summer, with appearances in the London outpost of DSM at the end of July and the Ginza store in early August. Like both of those locations, the New York pop-up will feature a carefully curated selection of pieces from the collection, which will include ready-to-wear pieces as well as shoes, bags and accessories.
The 2017 fall/winter collection focuses on the Vocabulary theme, which sees words inspired by Earnest Hemingway’s writing — such as “HOPE,” “TRUST” and “YES” — featured throughout a range of pieces. Each pop-up space has also featured a limited-edition capsule that pays tribute to the host city, and New York is set to be no different. The NYC collection will be predominantly blue, one of the campaign’s “poster” colors, and will include a T-shirt, a hat and a scarf which build on the vocabulary theme with the words “FENDI,” “LOVE” and “DSM.” Fendi’s Dover Street Market New York pop-up is set to open on September 7 and run until September 21.
In other Dover Street Market news, the international retail company recently held a Stüssy retrospective at its London store, which also saw the release of a commemorative book and exclusive T-shirt collection.
