New Chocolate Skateboards & Converse CONS Collection Launches in September
Paired with Evan Hecox’s unique graphics.
Converse continues its partnership with skater Kenny Anderson with a Chocolate Skateboards x Converse CONS collection. Pieces include a One Star and two Chuck Taylor All Star high tops, all with an upper made of 100% recycled poly cotton. Footwear also features CONS traction rubber for increased grip and durability, a rubber overlay and Lunarlon sockliner for comfort.
Apparel includes both short- and long-sleeve tees made of Supima cotton and a recycled nylon packable windbreaker. Graphic artwork is done by former art director and long-time contributor for Chocolate Skateboards Evan Hecox. Its inspiration is pulled from one of Kenny’s favorite old board graphics from Evan’s “Simple Life” series, and follows the life cycle of a seed as it comes into our world: “plant a seed, let it grow, and pollinate,” states the press release.
Footwear will retail for $80 USD with apparel ranging from $30-$100 USD and the collection will launch on September 1 at Converse retail stores, select retailers and on converse.com.
