Facebook to Launch New Video App for Creative Influencers
The social media giant is introducing a Live Creator Kit.

At the eighth annual VidCon, held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Facebook announced that it has created a new app. The social media giant has developed a platform that caters to digital influencers. According to Variety, the new feature will include a Live Creator Kit, which will help influencers manage live vlogs and allow them to add intros, outros and stickers to their broadcast.
“We’re building an app dedicated to you,” said Daniel Danker, product management director, at Facebook. “We see amazing creativity from creators on Facebook every day.”
Last month, the social networking site reached deals with BuzzFeed, Vox Media, ATTN and other millennial news outlets to launch more original — scripted and non scripted — programming in the near future. As Facebook continues to find ways to bolster its video presence, the company hopes this idea will draw more vloggers from sites like YouTube to Facebook; however the company realizes its platform must continue to be innovative and keep up with the technological advances that assist creators. Regular users — those who are not celebrities, journalists or influencers — are not expected to have access to the upcoming unnamed app, similar to Facebook’s mentions feature.
