Jordan Brand Asks "Is Kawhi Leonard Better on Defense or Offense?" in New Promo Video

Kawhi Leonard is undoubtedly one of the best players in the NBA. His defense is arguably better than his offense… Or is it the other way around? Leonard’s skills are debated in a new commercial by Jordan Brand, which poses two super-fans against one another — debate style.

Leonard has won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice consecutively, and he could be on his way to winning a third trophy for the 2016-2017 season. The San Antonio Spurs small forward averaged a career high 25.5 points per game this season, but still ranked ninth among all NBA players. As Leonard’s scoring has improved in each of his six seasons, it’s easier to make a case that his offensive game has surpassed his defensive play, but because some aspects of defense are immeasurable with statistics, the debate is truly a tough one.
