CMMN SWDN Takes Inspiration From Miami Architecture for 2018 Spring/Summer Collection
Channelling the city’s Art Deco scene.

Sweden’s CMMN SWDN has looked to Miami for its 2018 spring/summer collection. Taking inspiration from the city’s Art Deco architecture, the collection from design duo Saif and Emma Bakir features summer-ready pieces such as light jackets and open collar shirts. A particular focus was on the work of ’70s artist Leonard Horowitz, who helped to renovate Miami’s Art Deco scene which had fallen into disrepair. The collection’s pastel color palette references Horowitz’s work, with lilac, mint green and faded yellow all featuring heavily.
While you wait for the Malmo-based brand’s 2018 spring/summer collection to drop, you can revisit this editorial from GRIND magazine, which focuses on the 2017 spring/summer offering.
