Sasquatchfabrix. Drops a Super Chic Asian-Inspired Collection for 2017 Fall/Winter
Amplified heritage wear.

Sometimes, Sasquatchfabrix. asserts its Asian heritage through small motifs on modern silhouettes or through its premium Japanese craftsmanship. But for Fall/Winter 2017, the menswear imprint puts its Japanese heritage front and center, presenting a robust line of traditional Japanese silhouettes that are updated by modern details and materials. Classic Kimono and jinbei garments are fabricated in conventionally western textiles such as velvet and chunky knit, while wide-leg denim drawstring pants, corduroy jackets and exaggerated puffers coats adds to the East-meets-West theme. Other notable motifs include an opulent ankle grazing overcoat made from a velvet rococo-remixed Japanese floral print, as well as a graphic scarf with the Chinese/Kanji characters “健康優良不良少年,” which translate to “healthy, good, bad teens” — an oxymoronic riff on a traditional Asian proverb. Perhaps the most outstanding outfit of the bunch is the extra voluminous mustard yellow coat and pants look, which draws inspiration from traditional Buddhist monk clothing.
