colette and Birkenstock Team up to Reimagine the Iconic Arizona Sandal

While many have tried their hand at duplicating Birkenstock’s signature cork-filled footbed designs, the German footwear purveyor have all but perfected the rugged sandal prototype with several other brands wanting in on the action. Flaunting collaborative projects alongside such imprints as Concepts and BEAUTY & YOUTH, colette is the latest name to join forces with Birkenstock. Choosing to rework the iconic Arizona silhouette, the item features a black leather construction with the Parisian retailer’s trademark blue Polka Dots surrounding the strap area — creating the perfect portrayal of both brands. Limited to just 200 pairs, both men’s and women’s sizes will be made available at colette’s storefront and online shop as of June 24.
