Casely-Hayford Looks to "Make Craft Great Again"
Focusing on fabrics and methods of construction.

Having taken a step away from the runway to focus on fabrics and methods of construction, Casely-Hayford has revealed its Spring/Summer 2018 collection. A celebration of the nuances that are emphasized in the “post designer era,” the collection boasts details like hand-stitched decorations, machine embroidery, metallic white gold ink on debossed silk for an engraving-like effect, and exposed seams as an homage to internal construction. Voluminous shapes are emphasized throughout while “the convergence of tailoring and sportswear blurs lines even further” — a point readily exhibited by the label’s new joggers, which are both wide-legged and high-waisted for an added sense of formality.
