Spike Drops a Terrifying New Teaser for Stephen King's 'The Mist'
“Few things are more beautiful than destruction.”
It’s good to be Stephen King. Not only is the beloved author’s The Dark Tower finally coming to the big screen (with Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey as the Gunslinger and Man in Black, no less), but Pennywise is making his way to theaters as director Andrés Muschietti helms a new iteration of IT. Those aren’t the only King adaptations in the works, though.
Coming soon to Spike is a take on King’s 1980 novella The Mist. The second adaptation of the story (The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile director Frank Darabont brought The Mist to the big screen back in 2007), 2017’s version of The Mist comes in the form of a terrifying television series as residents battle a mysterious mist — and the horror it conceals — that rolls into their town while fighting to maintain their own morality and sanity. And, judging from the latest teaser, the show — luckily for horror fans — won’t skimp on the gore.
Take a look at the “Destruction” teaser above and look for The Mist to premiere on June 22.
