As promised, the first full-length trailer for the big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower has finally arrived. Sure to be one of this summer’s biggest blockbusters, the ambitious adaptation of the beloved King-penned series is set to star Idris Elba as the Gunslinger, Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as his adversary, the Man in Black. As the last Gunslinger left in the post-apocalyptic Mid-World, Deschain sets out to reach the nexus point of the space-time continuum in End-World and stop the Man in Black from destroying the Dark Tower in hopes of saving all of existence — including Earth’s entire population — from extinction.

The Dark Tower hits theaters August 4.
