John Mayer Performs an Acoustic, Stripped-Down Cover of Drake's "Passionfruit"
Debuted live in Amsterdam.

John Mayer‘s latest tour has been an eventful one. During this most recent string of shows, the popular singer-songwriter has received the “tiniest chain in music” from Ben Baller, collaborated with OFF-WHITE and Dave Chapelle for concert merchandise and paid tribute to the iconic Charlie Murphy. Now, following the release of his seventh studio album The Search for Everything, Mayer has decided to debut his own acoustic cover of Drake‘s More Life standout “Passionfruit.” Premiered live at last night’s performance in Amsterdam, Mayer’s rendition of “Passionfruit” removes the original record from the realm of hip-hop, R&B and pop and flips it into a more conventional, barebones singer-songwriter number.
