Childish Gambino Will Bring The "PHAROS" Experience to Life With 'Awaken, My Love!' Virtual Reality Vinyl

Last year, Childish Gambino/Donald Glover switched his style up for his soulful new project Awaken, My Love! Now, the “Redbone” jack of all trades has plans to drop a “virtual reality” vinyl version of his popular 2016 album. Originally announced several months ago, the new, special edition of Awaken, My Love! will come with a VR headset, a VR app, the proper instructions to access the “PHAROS” VR world, new artwork, and a two-record vinyl package. The virtual reality component of the set will allow fans to experience last summer’s PHAROS event, which served as the debut of Childish Gambino’s latest album.
The VR vinyl edition of Awaken, My Love! will arrive on May 19. Earlier today, news surfaced regarding Donald Glover’s plans to bring a Deadpool animated series to TV. Last month, Glover also racked up a Peabody Award for his critically-acclaimed program Atlanta.
