The New 'Blade Runner 2049' Trailer Is Here
Including our first look at Jared Leto’s role.
Fresh off the debut of two brand new posters, the new full-length trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is here. The trailer for the hotly anticipated Denis Villeneuve followup to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic does well to build on the moody teaser that premiered in December and offers a closer look at Ryan Gosling’s LAPD police officer, K, as well as the return of Harrison Ford’s Deckard. The trailer also offers up the first glimpse of Jared Leto’s character, as well as Robin Wright’s role. While plot details still remain mostly under wraps, Gosling’s K apparently “unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos,” which ultimately leads him on a quest to find Deckard (who’s been missing since the events of the original Blade Runner).
Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on October 6.
