'Blade Runner 2049' Finally Has Its First Teaser Trailer
A first look at Denis Villeneuve’s long awaited followup to the sci-fi classic.
Widely considered to be one of the greatest science fiction films of all time, Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner is finally getting a sequel and now we have our first look at the followup to the cyberpunk noir classic. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario, Enemy, Prisoners), Blade Runner 2049 focuses on an LAPD officer named K (Ryan Gosling) who “unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos.” While additional plot details remain largely under wraps, the film is set 30 years after 1982’s original while Harrison Ford reprises his role as Rick Deckard. Jared Leto also co-stars in the flick alongside the likes of Robin Wright and Dave Bautista.
