Starbucks HQ Renovations Will Include a Mobile Order-Only Store and New Starbucks Truck
The brand is experimenting with mobile-only platforms as well.

Starbucks‘s corporate HQ is getting a slew of renovations, including the company’s first exclusively mobile location and the chain’s first-ever Reserve store. The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that the mobile-only location is part of “an early experiment” with strictly order-and-pay platforms and it will open on the eighth floor of the Seattle headquarters, right across the hall from the chain’s booming SoDo 8 location.
The lobby of the Seattle HQ building will be closed for renovations before it reopens as the first-ever Starbucks Reserve store, selling the company’s higher end premium roasts and products. The global coffee goliath eventually hopes to open 20 Reserve roasteries and 1,000 Reserve locations worldwide, as per the Biz Journal. Starbucks’s 5,000 employees will be able to pick up their morning cup from a temporary mobile truck, presumably to be parked outside of the building pictured above.
