'Annabelle: Creation' Official Trailer: An Origin Story for Horror's Creepiest Doll
From the director of last year’s breakout horror hit, ‘Lights Out.’
The Annabelle series is turning out to be a popular title amongst horror film aficionados — not only have we seen one of film’s creepiest dolls on its own movies, but she’s also made brief cameos on other James Wan films as well. Following up its second act (Annabelle 2), the demonic toy gets a new project titled, Annabelle: Creation. It’s an origin story of sorts and should tell us a bit more about how she was created and why she starts wreaking havoc on those around her. Read the brief synopsis below:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Annabelle: Creation comes from Lights Out director, David F. Sandberg and opens on August 11 of this year. Watch the trailer above.
