STARBUCKS STAND by BEAMS and Coleman are releasing a four-piece outdoor collection on July 17, built around two co-branded Coleman chairs, a leisure sheet, and a cooler box.
The collection is produced under the STARBUCKS STAND by BEAMS banner, a lifestyle project operated jointly by Starbucks Japan and BEAMS that has served as the platform through which the two brands release collaborative product outside of the coffee chain’s core food-and-beverage offering. For this release, that platform extends into outdoor furniture and accessories through a three-way partnership with Coleman, the American outdoor equipment manufacturer.
The product range is four items. Two are seating, one is a ground cover, and one is storage. Each occupies a distinct position in an outdoor setup, and together they form a coordinated kit rather than a collection of standalone pieces. The Resort Chair is the first of the two seating options. Coleman’s Resort Chair models are typically full-height folding chairs designed for stationary outdoor use, with a higher seat position and a more upright posture than low-slung camp chairs. On this version, the fabric panel carries the STARBUCKS STAND by BEAMS logo on the front-facing surface, while the back of the chair displays the Starbucks Siren logo. That dual-logo arrangement gives the branding a directional quality: the collaborative mark faces the user’s surroundings, and the Siren faces anyone approaching from behind.
The One Mile Chair is the second seating piece. The “one mile” designation in Japanese product naming typically refers to items designed for use within a short radius of home, the kind of casual, low-commitment outdoor activity that takes place in a nearby park or on a balcony rather than at a campsite. Coleman’s One Mile Chair format is accordingly more compact and portable than the Resort Chair, built for proximity-based leisure rather than extended outdoor sessions. The branding treatment mirrors the Resort Chair: STARBUCKS STAND by BEAMS on the front fabric, Siren logo on the back.
The Leisure Sheet and Cooler Box round out the four-piece range. The source does not detail specific branding placement or material specifications for either piece beyond their inclusion in the collection. What their presence does is complete the functional set: the two chairs provide seating at two different scales and use cases, the leisure sheet provides a ground surface, and the cooler box provides insulated storage. Together, the four items cover the basic infrastructure of an outdoor gathering without requiring anything beyond what fits in the collection.
The retail strategy spreads across both partners’ channels. Select BEAMS stores will carry the collection, as will the Starbucks online store. Additionally, limited-time pop-up activations at BEAMS Roppongi Hills and BEAMS Hiroshima will stock the range, giving two physical locations a dedicated presence for the release.
The STARBUCKS STAND by BEAMS x Coleman collection drops July 17.
