Uber Is Now Banned in All of Italy
Due to “unfair competition.”

Another low blow has been dealt to Uber. Already struggling with several recent public relations missteps, the ride share app has now been blocked from usage in all of Italy. An Italian court blocked the use of Uber smartphone apps earlier today, labeling the company’s service as “unfair competition.” According to a court document obtained by Reuters, consumers can no longer utilize Uber’s X, Black, Lux, SUV, XL, Select and Van functions while in Italy. Saying they were “shocked” by the move, members of Uber’s Italy branch vowed to appeal the ruling.
In spite of recent poor press, Uber has been successfully adding new functions. As of this year, Uber now has a “lost and found” feature, a flying car project, and lets you locate your friends using social media.
